Pictures of your Pet?

A few months back I had a friend visit a well known pet product store to participate in pet-family photo day. Basically you bring in your pet and do professional shots with your furry family member. While I initially thought the whole idea was kind of bizarre, it got me thinking about how many pet lovers that are out there that carry pictures of their pet. With a little research, and a stroke of luck, I found a recent blog from the Los Angeles Times that estimated that around 45% of pet owners carry pictures of their pets. Am I the worst pet owner ever that I have no pictures of my pet?!

Should more stores offer this type of event? What do you think?
